Personality Inventories

Personality inventories are batteries that assess constellations of traits. We divide inventories into two groups:
  1. Big Five inventories assess the constellation of traits defined by the Five Factor Theory of Personality (see Digman, 1990).
  2. Other personality inventories assess constellations of traits defined by other theories of personality, a subset of the Big Five traits, or a superset of traits that may include the Big Five.
For more personality items, see also the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP). For measures assessing specific traits rather than a constellation of traits, see Constructs.
