Purpose
The MPI was designed to assess a constellation of traits.
Questions
80 items using yes/no format. There is also a 24-item short version in which each sub-scale has only 6 items.
Sub-scales
4 sub-scales:
  • Extraversion (E): 24 items
  • Neuroticism (N): 24 items
  • Lie (L): 20 items
  • Filler items: 12 items

  • Are your daydreams frequently about things that can never come true? (N)
  • As a child, did you always do as you were told, immediately and without grumbling? (L)
