The Intuitive-Analytical Judgment measure was designed to assess how individuals approach decision situations. It distinguishes between 2 decisions styles.
- An intuitive style emphasizes using feelings over decision rules.
- An analytical style emphasizes decision rules, calculations, and comparing pros and cons.

28 decision situations, each rated on 4 dimensions
- Decision mode questions use 5-point ratings (0 = completely intuitively to 4 = completely analytically)
- Risk & chance questions use 6-point ratings (0 = no risk/chance to 5 = very large risk/chance)

- Decision mode: analytical vs. intuitive
- Risk of a negative outcome
- Chance of a positive outcome
- Extent to which outcome is under the control of the decision maker
