Purpose

The patient readiness for shared decision making scale is designed to assess to what extent cancer patients felt well-equipped and able to engage, and remain engaged, in a shared decision-making process, soon after a final treatment decision was made.

20 items using 4-point ratings (0="Not at all", 1="A little", 2="˜Considerably", 3="Absolutely")

Eight subscales:
1. Understanding of and attitude towards shared decision making

3. Skills in communicating and claiming space
